Teamify a group chat

Last year at Ignite there was a mention of the "Teamification" of group chat.

The discussed flow was to start a group chat with a handful of users, and then use that to create a Team without losing all conversation history, shared files, etc.

Over 1 year later I can't seem to find any update on that at all.

Is it still on the roadmap, or has it been dropped, or has it been released and I missed that memo?

    I have not heard a word about this. My guess is that if this is not in the roadmap, it's not going to come soon
