Team Calls - screen layout

Sorry but this is a step backwards. Who wants to see a list of their calls at centre stage?! It was very helpful to have a view of staff (old thumbnails view) at centre stage as we could see at a glance who was busy, in a call, off work etc.
In over a year of using Teams I have not once needed to use the call button to look at call history! Who on earth thought this was an improvement? Please revert back to how this was previously or at least give users the option of amending the view rather than dictating to them.
