Syncing Teams calendars with outside hosted exchange accounts

Teams calendars do sync with on premise exchange as outlined in the article. As far as I know, the issue is going to be if you are using Multitenanted hosted exchange. If you have dedicated hosting with your own AD, own exchange then this could very well be a possibility as you would be able to put the hosted solution and 365 into a hybrid configuration
However, if it is multi-tenanted that's not a supported scenario because multi tenant doesn't support Exchange Hybrid which is needed to work with Teams Calendars.
I would check with your hosting provider who should be able to give you a confirm
