Just writing on the off chance that anyone has managed to find a fix for this yet? It is still plaguing me and, as I keep my MBP in clamshell mode most of the time, is major friction to juggle things around when I decide I need to share some slides mid-meeting. Otherwise, I would have left the audio using there MBP audio permanently but the microphone doesn't work in clamshell.

Teams 1.6.00.1159 resolved this for me (once I installed the updated audio drivers).

  Thanks - I have the same version and still have the issues. Were there specific additional / manual steps you need to go through to update the audio drivers?

    Thealbs I had to start screensharing to get Teams to prompt me to update my audio drivers (after installing the updated version of Teams). Once I did that and allowed Teams to update the drivers, the issue was gone.
