I'm facing this issue as well.
Update Teams and your keyboard app, then fully close Teams and reopen it. Also test with the default phone keyboard instead of a third-party keyboard, because Teams can behave differently with predictive text and autocorrect. If the problem continues, reinstall Teams and test before changing any settings.
I've tried all of the advice above, also tries with both default keyboard and 3rd party one also and the issue still persist.
If it still happens after a clean install, include your phone model, OS version, Teams version, and keyboard app when reporting it.
