Sound not working on Teams call
Hi,
I just had a Teams interview on my laptop and my sound was not working.
As such, I couldn't hear them speak, and they couldn't hear me speak.
My microphone was not muted. My audio volume setting was turned up.
(I ended up phoning them up and using the phone to speak/listen)
The video bit of Teams was working.
I had 5 Teams interviews on this same laptop last week and the sound was fine.
After the interview I checked my speakers and microphone and they are working fine.
As such, why do they not work when i am on a Teams Call?
How can I check that my microphone and speaker both work on Teams?
I checked my microphone works by going to voicerecorder.org and recorded my voice then played it back
and it showed my microphone was working fine. I also played music on youtube which proved that my
speakers are fine.
So why did my speakers and microphone not work when I was on the Teams call?
I am using windows 11 home.
Laptop is Huawei Matebook D.

Is the sound is not coming from the headphones or you are talking about the laptop speaker?
Neither headphones or laptop speaker or microphone worked.
However, they worked fine after the call...i set up a teams call with myself on a second laptop, and it was fine.
This happened before a different interview aswell...i am wondering if rival recruitment consultancies have found out when i have interviews and have hacked in to my laptop and sabotaged the sound. May sound silly but why did it only happen during these two interviews.
