Shifts not displaying new name after name change

Hi, my organisation was building out schedules in Shifts for Teams using placeholder names waiting for new staff members to be assigned, now they have been , we have renamed the users in 365 users but Shifts isn't picking up the new names. This is a real issue, for us as we have dozens of schedules to move across to new users if we have to create new users for each and copy and paste shifts across. Opened a case, no response. Any suggestions? I appreciate this is not necessarily how the system was intended to be used, but people change their names!  Would be the same issue if someone got married or just changed their name...

Thanks,

Ed.

I have a solution now. It updates instantly when the user logs in, they may also need to navigate to Shifts, but that's the most that needs to happen.

For my case, where we build a schedule with a generic placeholder name and then want to change it maybe months before they log in for the 1st time, it's still awkward, as an admin has to log in to each account then reset and log the new password. But for your case it shouldn't be a problem if it works the same way for you.

    Good luck!

We have the same issue, a staff member has changed her name, this change has applied on every other platform including Teams except on "Teams Shifts", it is showing her old name in shifts.

We have test on other Teams sites and the Team site is correctly displaying name just in "Teams Shifts" its displaying the staff members old name, on all Teams Shifts we add the staff member too. Very odd issue. Somehow picking up the old name still however in AAD it is no longer an attribute so unsure where this information is populating from.

    Please help.

thank you, I have been looking for 24 hours how to update the name of the person in shift after having renamed them, the manipulation is indeed very simple, as soon as the user connects to shift, his name is indeed updated instantly.
