SharePoint news connector for a news published on a different site

I am getting the issue attached when i am clicking on a channels connector to configure SharePoint news connector to connect to a news from a different site.

 

Fields marked with * are mandatory

    null null 

     

    Hi, I see that same message when adding this connector to a channel.  However, when I click Save, it allows me to proceed successfully.  Are you not able to do the same?
