Shared Mailbox Added Automatically to Org-Wide Team

I created a new Shared Mailbox this morning and it was automatically added to my Org-Wide Team.

WTH? According to this in the Microsoft docs that should not have happened.

The only reason I noticed is because it actually posted the addition to the General Channel of the Team

  • You should report that, and in general I'd recommend you stay away from org-wide Teams - we had to give the idea up because of how bad the actual implementation was. It's fairly easy to automate adding people to a Team, even without using dynamic membership rules.

      I went Dynamic Group route due to the issues i've been seeing with it and lack of control. If you utilize your AD info good it works better since you can pinpoint what to add / remove. Only downfall obviously is the AD P1 license requirement.
