SFB on prem and MS team users status sync

Hi All

 

Hope all safe. 

We have primary IM tool as skype on prem solution (Lync 2013) server and also we have Office365 E3 license with MS teams facility. MS teams configured in Island mode. 

The users status shows always different on both tools. It is not syncing each other. Do we have any option to sync the users status between Lync 2013 and MS team.

 

More Info:-

We did not configured any hybrid mode.

Attribute SharedSipAddressSpace set to false

    Hi joaustin 

     

    In the Island mode the status will show differently. This is majorly because you have Two Separate Services running on the two different platform. 

     

    Even if you enable federation it would not work. You need to set up complete hybrid configuration for the sync in the presence to happen.

    In island mode all presence will be separate! You need to set up hybrid in order to communicate with external users and with on-premises Skype users

      Thank you for the update.. We have lync 2013 on prem server. If we enable federation do we have any dependencies.
