I can confirm, that this issue still persists. The settings is lost regularly.
It "could" have something to do with the sound device not being present after sleep or something like that. But then I also always lose my spell check settings again and again. I disable any kind of spell check and every few days (or at least after every update) it's back. What a joke. So I suspect it's just incompetence. Same thing happens in Outlook and other Microsoft tools. Not surprising, just embarrassing.
