Screen share only works for Caller, not Callee
Version of my client: 1.3.00.9271. Teams says that's the latest when I tell it to check for updates. This is on Mac.
Hi KCBaltz
It could be an issue on the other users network due to which you were not able to see the screen. For Testing Purpose I would recommend you to perform the following steps:-
1. In the Microsoft Teams Client make a call to an internal user part of your organization and then ask the person to share the screen. You should be able to view the screen by default in the scenario as this is an inbuilt feature of Microsoft Teams
2. In the Microsoft Teams Client make a call to an external user not a part of your organization and then ask the person to share the screen. In this case it could work and in case the admin of the other organization has restricted the feature then you cannot view the external users desktop.
Let me know if the above response answers your query.

RealTime_M365 So I have the same issue with Microsoft Teams. When I call someone in teams, I can share my screen with them. But they(the callee) cannot share their screen with me. And I also don't have someone outside of my organization to call (i.e. an external callee). There has to be some sort of bug in teams.

When the call has more than 2 participants, screen sharing is not an issue, so I don't believe this is a network problem. Additionally, when the problem is happening, i can still see their screen if I click away from the call to look at another chat. In that case, I see the thumbnail video of their screen. But when I click on that thumbnail, it expands to be replaced with black screen and their profile image in the middle.
Regarding external users, I only use Teams within my org.
