requirements for live events

neal_stoughton That’s correct:
“The user creating and scheduling a live event must have an Exchange Online mailbox.“
The other requirements are listed here including licensing

How difficult is it to do this? Isnt it just a matter of checking a box somewhere? I satisfy the licensing requirements as I have an A3 license. Its really frustrating how my organization is setting up a roadblock to prevent me from doing the work I need to do. Whats the point of having Office 365 if you cripple it?

Each organisation is different and adopts technology at a different pace. What email system are you or is the organisation using currently, if it isn’t Exchange Online? Are they still using Exchange Server for example or something else?

Thanks for your reply. I dont know what email system it is. I installed Outlook from the Office 365 repository (portal.office.com).

It’s just a question of why wont they create an Exchange Online mailbox, as you say you already have the right licence, is that Exchange Online hasn’t been fully implemented yet or is there something else, as usually you’d have this already. All you can do is ask again or escalate via a manager, ask about timeframes if this is something that can be done later. There is more work to this than it may appear, that they would have to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/teams-live-events/set-up-for-teams-live-events, so it may just not be a priority at the moment.
