You can still schedule Meetings in Outlook. You do not need the Calendar Icon to schedule a Teams Meeting
- ITGuy337May 13, 2020Brass ContributorLegend, my affected user had this disabled as well. Thanks for posting

Why is microsoft always so complicated? It never makes things easy.
Today is Mar 28, 2020 and Meeting tab is still missing from ms team app. It should ideally be shown there by default, whether the calendar is connected to exchange or not, so that the people who are not connected to exchange will click on it and then add themselves..there is no was to add that silly thing to the side bar.
Why should a calendar exchange be a mandatory criteria to schedule a meeting. A meeting can also be setup for general public too who don't have a ms office 365 or not registered with microsoft. Why do they have to add these road blockers for everything they develop?
I also tried adding zoom app, which is by far the best app, but if i add the zoom app to teams dashoboard it gives me error saying "try another browser" (im using a ms team app), isn't microsoft so sad in how it tempts us with features, but actually can't get them to work. However, if im using the zoom app from their own app, its working perfectly fine, only ms teams is the bone.
Thanks,
Paul
- Jan 13, 2020Yeah, awesome. I never thought of that either 😄
- Jan 13, 2020Yeah, that def. would cause it not being able to access EWS! Never thought about being able to disable that via 365 exchange admin. Good share right there. Going to store that one in back of mind :).

We root caused our issue to our security team unintentionally disabling Exchange Web Services protocol for specific users in O365 admin portal. This caused the missing Calendar icon in Teams and also disallowed certain calendar notifications in outlook. Hope this helps.
