I remember it being fairly quick. Mileage will always vary with Intune though.

I'm guessing something has changed in Intune since the previous answer was provided. After waiting for a couple of hours for it to converge it would never login. We finally tracked it down to a setting under Enrollment -> Enrollment restrictions -> All Users -> Properties that we had to flip the toggle switch to "Allow" "Android device administrator" under Platform settings.
