Public preview checkbox keeps unchecking

Happening now in March. Version - 25060.205.3499.6849. After working with MS on a support case, they checked logs and found client is on ring 3.6 which is still the public preview according to them. Its running but just in the background.

Unlike the older versions that has the slider, this version is just the buttons to select Comfy or Compact. I like Compact so I can see more chats, but also so others can't read a portion of my last message to someone.
