Proximity join doesn't work from Teams Desktop app

Desktop App Update: Microsoft Teams Version 1.4.00.2879 (64-bit). It was last updated on 2/15/21.
We have also identified a related issue with room search, which broke the search experience in the pre-join screen. This issue is also being investigated now.
When we have an ETA for the release of these fixes, I will share the update here.

- Hey Greg, I am having trouble with this issue at work. I have been able to find the cause of the problem and i am able to reproduce this problem on every Laptop.
I just have to disable bluetooth in windows, then try to join a meeting. After this i will not be able to find a room in teams. Not after restart of both teams and the laptop.
It seems that if you try to find a room in teams with bluetooth disabled(in windows) something breaks.

Any updates on when this might be fixed ?- Our company current has a Premier Support ticket with Microsoft on this. They are currently advising that the updated Teams desktop app containing the fix should be entering Ring 4 in the next week or so.
- We have a support ticket open as well, I was told we may be getting close to a fix being deployed. May 4 seems to be the date they are projecting.
I agree that there should be at least some mention from the O365 admin portal (Service Health) for an incident. At least that notification would give administrators an understanding of the problem. I have a ticket in place and was told that this could take a month possibly longer to address the problem as there is an improvement on the feature being included before the ring deployment is pushed out.

What is the eta for a fix ? We have 117 Crestron Flex rooms impacted.- One thing you will find out about the Microsoft Teams support team is that they do nothing and I mean nothing quickly. I currently have another issue with them opened up on a partner support ticket going on 4 months now and they haven’t started even troubleshooting it yet.

- FYI ...I 'am having Microsoft Teams Version 1.4.00.7174 (64-bit). It was last updated on 3/30/21. Still no proximity join . We are using Poly Studio X50. Hope you the fix soon. Thanks - Ashraf
ashrafayubI as well am having these issues. I have a Poly X30 and I cannot join a meeting from the desktop app. Mobile devices work perfectly though. hope this gets fixed soon.

- Greg Baribault , not sure it’s the beacons sensitivity, I thought this right out of the gate and set my laptop on top of the teams room device. But I guess it’s plausible that it’s just absolutely dead for teams only. I was also able to connect to the teams room by searching for it as a device in my windows settings / add a Bluetooth display
Scratch that, I tested it again and it does appear that the Bluetooth beacon sensitivity is what is causing it, I pulled the machine out and laid my laptop on it again and everything shows up fine now when I do. So it appears you guys are on the right track.
Hi we also have this issue here in Cincinnati, we have approx. 130 Crestron Flex Teams rooms, users began to report this last week. Did some testing this morning and sure enough the room shows up when I walk the laptop up the UC Engine. Please provide an update when this will be fixed.
