Problem with activity feed: all notifications go on "read" for a certain channel

We are using Teams with different channels in our Marcom unit. People are reporting a lot of missed conversations and tasks due to the way the feed is currently working.

1. Let's say you have 10 notifications from a certain channel.

2. When you click on the Feed you automatically go to the last posted notification.

3. When you click on this notification you go the Teams channel where this was posted. This is of course the last mention or post in this Teams channel.

4. You miss all 9 other posts because the notifications go automatically to read because you've seen the channel. This does't mean you've read them.

Is there a way to keep those notifications open until you've realy read them, not just visited the Teams channel at the last post?
