Owners of a Teams Site are Owners of related SPO Site, how do I prevent this ?

Hi Alice_Hume ,

Go to the SharePoint site owners group in the SharePoint site and make a note of the name of the Security group that is in there <Group Name> Owners .

Add that same group into the SharePoint Members group.

Remove that group from the Owners.

Add your own group or person in.

Thanks Andrew, I'll test that out.

Just stumbled on this too.... :

https://[Tenant].sharepoint.com/sites/[my site]/_layouts/15/permsetup.aspx

wonder if that would do it.

Hi Alice_Hume ,

That screen would swap out the owners group but it wouldn't do the other steps I mentioned.
