Options within Microsoft Teams to display certifications for individual members?

I am investigating the best way an individual team member can display their certifications or completed workshops within a single Teams channel. It would be used to showcase individual accomplishments and provide visibility to our director as to what educational endeavors our team members have completed.  I took a look at Viva Learning but I don't see a method to upload non-Microsoft certifications.

Does anyone in the community have something like this setup in their organization? I am just looking for ideas of how best to implement this.

Thank you!

  • Hi LarryThomas,

here are some ideas that can perhaps help you to choose which way you want to do this:

    1. SharePoint Document Library: You can create a SharePoint document library within your Teams channel where team members can upload their certification documents. This can be a central repository for certifications. Each team member can have their own folder or document with their certifications.

    2. Tabs and Connectors: You can use tabs and connectors within Teams to link to external tools or websites where your team members have their certifications listed. For example, you can link to LinkedIn profiles, personal websites, or cloud storage (e.g., OneDrive or Google Drive) where they store their certification documents.

    3. OneNote Notebook: Create a shared OneNote notebook within your Teams channel where team members can enter information about their certifications and provide links to external certification providers or documents.

    4. Create a dedicated Microsoft Teams channel for displaying certifications. This channel could be called something like "Certifications" or "Accomplishments."
