Open in Desktop App opens blank window

Running 1.2.00.22654 (64-bit), when selecting a file (for example a powerpoint) under a files tab and selecting "open in desktop app", teams will launch powerpoint (2013 15.0.5093.1000, 64 bit) but it will display a blank screen. I got no errors. All our users are seeing the same issue, any suggestions?
