Notify when available feature in NEW Teams app

The "Notify when available" feature doesn't appear to be available yet in the NEW Teams application when the new app is supposed to have full feature parity at this point. It's a useful feature that I (and I know others) use often. Is this feature going to be developed/released for the NEW Teams or is this not going to be available?

- bottplCopper ContributorYes, please add this back ASAP.
- BengtVBrass ContributorYes, please add. this is a crucial feature!
- BelgarionCopper ContributorWhen managing a remote workforce, this is an essential feature. It is a waste of time and effort to have to constantly check teams to see if someone has completed a call or gotten out of a meeting (it isn't like you can look over the cubicle wall). Assuredly one of the most anti-productivity design decisions made of late. This feature needs to be in the new Teams product.
- Listy77Copper ContributorI use this feature to save me walking to see people who arent at their desks. This is good for building my steps but bad for productivity. I would like it back please.

Fully agree - "Notify when available" is one of the most needed features in MS Teams.

- karen_dredskeIron ContributorThe last I heard, this feature is not planned to be added to the new Teams. However, all of you should click on Help > Give Feedback inside of your Teams client (lower left corner in Classic Teams and under the ellipsis next to your profile picture in new Teams) and provide this feedback. Microsoft doesn't always monitor the TechCommunity so you should submit feedback through the app and/or to the feedback portal.

Please note that you will all have no choice about using classic or new Teams come March 2024. Microsoft announced that anyone who was not on new Teams by then would be switched to new Teams by Microsoft.
If you are looking for your Contacts in new Teams, you have to add an app called "People" and you will find all of your contacts there.
Currently, if you uninstall Teams and reinstall, the default is new Teams. That is why some of you have had issues returning to Teams Classic.- douglassparksBrass Contributor
karen_dredske I tried the feedback method, and it did not work. My sense is that Microsoft is not going to listen to users on this issue.
Has anybody found a replacement platform that has this feature? I do not want to change but it looks like I will not have an option.
- karen_dredskeIron ContributorIt is going to take some and probably reposting of the link for people to up-vote this issue to get it added back.

I know that the metrics that Microsoft had for trimming on Stream videos showed that people weren't using it that much, but they discovered from actual feedback from users that this was a critical feature for most everyone and are working on not only bringing it back in the new platform, but also improving it. I'm hoping for the same here in Teams.
- JMacsCopper ContributorAgree Notify when Available is an essential feature and I'm switching back to classic Teams until it is added to new Teams
- LR_profBrass ContributorI'm considering not using Teams if I cannot check my contact list availability.
