Notify when available feature in NEW Teams app

As other posters have said this is a big compromise, especially in a large organisation working to a hybrid model. Why move backward in a newer version? I've switched back to old teams, but my company is discontinuing older version from March, at which point I lose the option again. Currently I use on a daily basis for multiple colleagues to connect ad hoc outside formal meetings or for urgent tasks. PLEASE ADD BACK!!!!!!!
