Notifications

Hello,

 

we have a strange problem with notifications.

Some users don't get notifications, when somebody writes something in a team. When these users get a message then they will get a notification.

The problem occurred regardless of the operating system and the app. The problem exists with the Windows app, Android app and iOS app. 

But it is user-specific! When I take the same device and change the User to a User, where I know that the notifications will work correctly, then everything is good, but when I switch back to the user with the problems, then the problems are back.

This specific user also couldn't see the notification in the feed. All Users have the same setting and I have checked the notification settings multiple times.

 

Does anyone know the problem?

    Hi marmed 

     

    There are multiple location wherein we need to enable the Microsoft Teams Notification. Microsoft Teams Notification needs to be enabled in following Two Location:-

     

    1. In the specific teams in the General Tab > More Options > Channel Notification 

    Double Check on the Channel Notification you have the Option set to Banner and Feed. So that any notification in the Microsoft Team will get reflected to you.

     

    2. In your Profile Specific go to your Profile Picture > Settings > On the Left Hand Site > Notification > Teams Mentions Ensure that this is also set to Banner and Feeds 

     

    In addition to the above setting in the Step 2 you also have multiple other settings which can be set for the notification. 

     

    Let me know in case the above setting helps in resolving the issue.

      Hello,

       

      We have already checked these settings and everything is set correctly.

      The staff recently told me that it sometimes works, but very rarely.

      It's a pity because the notifications in the teams would be very good.

        Hi marmed 

         

        I wanted to let you know that there is some on-going issues with the Microsoft Server which is causing this issue with the Notifications. There is already a bug raised for the same. Can you also report the same to the Microsoft Support Team.

         

        There is an on-going issue wherein the Notification is working for the Old Teams Created but for all the New Teams which we have created there is on-going issue with the notification.
