New "Voice quality recording" feature for desk phones
I see in the https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/what-s-new-in-microsoft-teams-devices-eabf4d81-acdd-4b23-afa1-9ee47bb7c5e2#ID0EBD=Desk_phones article for Desk Phones that app version 1449/1.0.94.2022090705 adds a new "Simplified way to share call recording logs and provide feedback when troubleshooting". The screen shot shows a setting called "Enable voice quality recording" and the description below it says "This will attach a recording of the call when you report a problem to Teams".
This doesn't mean it is recording the audio, does it? I'm not a lawyer, but it's my understanding that in many jurisdictions it is illegal to record a call without the express permission of both parties.
This option isn't actually appearing for me on the CCX 500 I use for testing yet, but neither was the new "Enable lightweight calling experience" feature and it just showed up today.
