OP. The limit is technically 250 in a meeting. But with free teams keep in mind everyone has to load teams. Login and join the meeting in a channel. You cannot schedule a teams free meeting and send out an invite like you can the paid version of teams.
You can get a less expensive version of teams via an E1 license compared to zoom and conduct 250 person meetings and use anonymous joining and scheduling.
