No, Terminal Server / pure RDS is not supported with A/V optimization.

Fernando_Klurfan Will media optimization be supported for Terminal Server / pure RDS?

 

If so when will this happen?

 

Or is it being discontinued with the new MS Teams to get users to move to the cloud?

    er_reads there is a new teams version out now: 24091.212.2834.983, which now supports AVD Media optimization on pure RDS.

      We don't support media optimization on pure RDS.
      It has to be an AVD or W365 deployment, as stated in the documentation
