New Teams on Mac Book - Video background is grey and freezes

With the new version of teams im experiencing camera freezes and a grey background. Im using Teams on a Mac Book Air.

This problem with the camera is not there in other applications or in the old version of Teams.

I've reinstalled the application, added another WebCam and checked the permissions for camera use, but nothing seems to help.

Does anybody know how to fix this?
