New Teams Meeting in Outlook with multiple accounts
- Mar 20, 2020
Okay, I see. Then maybe using the Teams calendar is the best option for you. You will not be able to see both calendars at the same time but you will be able to schedule Teams meetings in the correct tenant.

You can use the Teams Web Application for one of the accounts and the desktop client for the other Teams account. https://teams.microsoft.com
**HERE IS THE REAL SOLUTION**
1. The culprit: Teams account configuration
In a July 2026 Reddit thread, someone reported:
- Using Classic Outlook with multiple Microsoft 365 tenants.
- The Teams add-in stopped allowing them to select which account hosted meetings.
- Outlook defaulted to the first account signed into Teams.
- Reinstalling Teams and the add-in didn't resolve it.
On October 12, someone reported finding a fix.

2. The fix
Teams can incorrectly write allowOutlookAddin: false into its configuration file, disabling the Outlook add-in integration for an account.
Here's the reported fix:
- Completely close Outlook and Teams.
- Open File Explorer.
- Navigate to:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Publishers\8wekyb3d8bbwe\TeamsSharedConfig - Find the file named tma_settings.json.
- Rename it to tma_settings.json.bak rather than deleting it.
- Restart Teams.
- Switch into both <Tenant 1> and <Tenant 2> within Teams so their settings regenerate.
- Open Outlook Classic.
Now create a test meeting from your Tenant 1 calendar.
Expected result: The Teams Meeting button should once again allow you to select which account hosts the meeting. And the URL that gets generated should correctly link to the Tenant you selected.

Thanks so much, this is brilliant and should be marked as the real solution. Appreciate it.
