In the old Teams, the participant list will show all the participants including those not showing up. After each one of their names, there's a 'request to join' button, which is very handy to remind someone who should attend.

However, after the upgrade (well, let's say it's an upgrade) to the newer version of Teams, this functionality has been removed. I cannot only see who is in the meeting, but not all who should attend - so there's no way to send a request easily. I have to go back to the original meeting invitation, find their email addresses, and send messages in Teams one after another.
