Hi everyone - please use the following mitigation plan for this issue while we work with Lenovo to uncover more of the root cause/solution to this: Lenovo Yoga L13 might shut down during Teams meetings (microsoft.com).

Hi, after running a BIOS update v1.29, it seemed to have sorted out the problem. I tested it on 2 laptops that had the Teams shutting down the laptop problem. Maybe worth giving that a try.
Yes, i updated to 1.29 a few hours ago and all is good. Installed antivirus again, enabled fingerprint.
But i didn't use Teams calls meantime (only 20 minutes). I will se next week what happens when using Teams extensively.

That sounds promising, yes let us know what happens next week,
- iuliangMay 19, 2021Copper ContributorAll good until now, not any single shutdown in 2 weeks with extensive use of teens after the last BIOS update to 1.29 and last Intel chipset update.
- iuliangMay 22, 2021Copper ContributorAl good until now. I had 2 days ago a teams call for 12 hours - everything was ok with laptop - this was the biggest test.
Now I just intallesd the new Bios update 1.30 - hope it does not break the good things from 1.29 🙂

The big difference now is that i do not have anymore peaks of core temperatures of 100 degrees celsius. Now the limit is 93, never reaches 100. I suspect the problem was soething about thermal throttling and made the processor go down instantly (auto protect) but it's just a supposition. The procesoar usualy had peaks of 100 even before login. Now never pass 90-93 and most of the time the medium temp is 45-50.

No luck for me E14 intel first gen. still bios 1.15 . Shutdowns keep happening. Usually, I'm back in the videoconference in a few moments due to SSD, but this week it happened that the laptop refused to turn on for 2 whole minutes, all I saw was a black screen (backlight was on) and fans speeding up, no text or bios post.
Suddenly Lenovo splash screen appeared and was able to boot into windows.
but then lenovo vantage shows me the was no battery detected on laptop (but there was no cable, so it surely was running on battery)
After another restart it was back working fine. So if you guys have a fix for this, please release it. Users can't wait anymore
