Mute colleague in open plan office

Most of the employees in our building are in an open plan office and most of them are having meetings together. The problem for them is that they are hearing their colleague via Teams and also in real life.

Is there anything planned to be able to mute a speaker only for your own user and not for all participants?

Thanks in advance.

  • Hi Thomsch ,

I would look to user voice, perhaps vote on something existing like this: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/40080520-mute-all-except-the-current-speaker

Or if you feel it doesn't do it justice then create your own entry, report back and I would be happy to at least give it a vote.

Also worth checking to see if it is already on the Horizon at:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=Microsoft+Teams&SilentAuth=1

    Closest I could find was:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/roadmap?featureid=66575

    Thanks
