Multiple Teams and Chat in Different Teams

I have multiple teams with same account name.  I am working as consultant and have multiple projects concurrently.  The project teams have domain with the clients with my account as (GUEST).  In order to access all at the same time, I open Desktop app for my company Teams, different browsers for each project teams as GUEST.  It all works fine until direct chat with me starts.

some of my clients will use their teams to send direct message to me.  This direct message sometimes appear in my client's teams in my GUEST account and sometimes appear in my company's team.  This is getting more and more confusing when more such chats appear.  It is impossible for me to trace the origins of the chats as time passed - whether in my client's teams or my company's team.  I need to search through both teams.

What is the right way to deal with such cases?  Is there a setting to make sure if accounts in the same teams, the direct chat appears in the same teams and not ACROSS different teams?

  • I think you'd better clarify the range, even though sometimes it's hard
1,use your current way but only chat with them with related guest account
--it's not only for you, but also for them, we have to guide them as too many people don't know freedom only happens with a range
2, try shared channel, to avoid too many guest account, only use No.1 if you have to be a guest
