MS Teams Contacts show offline but they aren't

Question

When I look in my specific contact groups it shows some of the contacts as being offline but if i initiate a chat with them they show as online. But still in the contact group list they are showing as offline. why and now to resolve? I did remove a few and then re-add to the contact group and that worked but I don't want to have to do that for everyone!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
