MS Teams and Lists

I created a List from MS Teams, however, the List is not appearing in the tab, instead it has created a folder. I can view the list from the MS Lists app but not from Teams. I have tried creating a list from Teams using an existing list, copying the List SharePoint URL bit has come up with error. Can anyone help.
