MS Teams Account upgrade
I am stuck with the Teams accounts and Upgrade to Business license.
In my naive way, I created an account with my corporate email.
Then the customer invited me to join his Teams Group, this did not work with the created account and it
created a new Teams Business Account as Guest (??) with the same mail to join there.
Now I wanted to book a 365 business license onto my account, but unfortunately there are two of them.
So after support chat and support call, they directed me here for what to do now before creating maybe the third account.
I really just wanted to have one account with my corporate email, upgrade this, and stay connected with my customer.
Sorry to say, but to this point the process and support is just bad.
what you need to do, is to use the first account (the one you created) and login to https://admin.microsoft.com. From here, you can buy the subscription you need.
the other account, where you joined the customers Team site (guest), this is a Guest account (identity created in customer tenant) that is needed to be able to be invited in a Team site. In the Teams client you probably see, on the left of your profile picture in the top right corner, the name of your customer/own company name (you see 1, but if you click on it you should see both of them). Via this way you will be able to change tenant with you account where 1 is your own company tenant and the other is your guest account identity in the customer tenant.
let me know if you need more info or when you need some help 😀
kind regards,
Mitchell
