MS team room : Teams is currently experiencing an error
Our Microsoft team room update to window 11 IOT version. And some of the room show the error "Teams is currently experiencing an error. If the problem persists, please try restarting your device or talk to your administrator". It need to restart two times to resolve the issue. This is the first time we see this error, and have no such information can be search. May I know if other people is facing the same issue as us?

TimmyLeung0405 The permanent fix will be in upcoming Teams app version 4.19.X

Gopi Kothandaraman Any idea when that will be coming out? We have about 35 of these rooms setups and have a number of them that are doing this. I have wiped and reloaded, changed password no help.

If this site is to be believed... 01/10/23 is a possible date for version 4.19

I've checked the sign-in logs and no issues there. I cannot figure out what is causing this.
- Jarcque_AdminCopper ContributorAlso experiencing this fault, no ideas?
I tried to run a repair and I get the "OS version not compatible."- Jay_Burgess875Copper Contributor
We have over 30 Teams Room and this is causing us all kinds of issues. Everything just upgraded to Windows 11 and this new Teams version Jarcque_Admin
We have multiple systems that doe this many times a day. Doesn't help when you are in a meeting. Has anyone found a solution for this? Everything has been working with Windows 10.
- Jarcque_AdminCopper ContributorI managed to get it working, The powershell script for the had an error which I fixed, I also assigned a Teams Room Pro license. the NUC is running well now it seems.

gazza23 We are still having this error as well, we have received little help from Microsoft. They are telling us to re-install the MTR app on the machine, which we have done several times. This issue is showing up on their known issues page, but there is no useable troubleshooting steps to resolve
Error displays in Teams Rooms device console On devices that are running version 4.17.51.0 or later of the Teams Rooms app, the console displays the following error: Teams is currently experiencing an error. If the problem persists, please try restarting your device or talk to your administrator.
The error displays after actions such as the following occur:- The account credentials to sign in to the device are changed.
- The Teams cache is cleared.
- Updates are installed by Teams in the background.
In most cases, this error display goes away after a few minutes and the Teams Rooms app starts normally. No user action is needed.
If the error display persists beyond a few minutes, then restart the device.- Jay_Burgess875Copper Contributor
We continue to have issues with this as well. I wiped and reloaded using the MTR install thinking that would fix it. I was just in a meeting today after 15 minutes if threw the error and knocked me off the meeting. Sure would love to figure out how to get past this. Surely there has to be some kind of fix out there.

I found that resetting the password resolved the issue. In User sign-ins (non-interactive) I could see a number of failures as below. The password hadn't expired or been changed.
Sign-in error code50173Failure reasonThe provided grant has expired due to it being revoked, a fresh auth token is needed. The user might have changed or reset their password. The grant was issued on '{authTime}' and the TokensValidFrom date (before which tokens are not valid) for this user is '{validate}'.

Did you or anyone find a resolution?
Thank You - Glenn
- DavidGG42Copper ContributorI'm having the same issue on 4.19.X,
reboot done, firewall check done (nothing is being blocked), windows update done, account validation done, mfa not enable done....search done...
nothing so far. - RamiusMacCopper ContributorHello,
We are having the same issue in our org. Which is crazy its doesn't matter what Teams version or OS its on we are still seeing the same issue. Tried to update to the latest OS for both Teams & Windows no luck. Reinstalled Teams, remove/re-add to the domain no luck. Working with MS on this still no luck. Anyone have any luck with resolving? - QuentinJ1710Copper ContributorAlso have this issue 8/20/24. Crestron UC with Dell 7080. All fw up to date. Only happens when logging in with the clients login credentials. ie-i can use another account and all is well.
Unit will reboot, login succeeds with client credentials, then crashes with this error after 3-5 minutes.- phumlani9701Copper ContributorDid you solve it? I'm also having the same issue with Dell 7080

Not very helpful but ours fixed themselves after a couple of updates.

TimmyLeung0405 What worked for me was to set the network settings to private network, this allows the apps to communicate with the device in a private network. Try that and let me know!
