Moving from skype to teams does not migrate my chat history
At the moment, you need to make sure you join as "Teams Insider" then login to "Teams Personal" with your skype account. https://insider.teams.com/

There is no longer Teams Personal or Teams Free. It's now just 'Teams' but MS keep referring to the different versions when there is now only one Teams

Can you show exactly what you mean by login to Teams Personal. I did Teams insider and still have no history. I can't find teams personal in skype or here - so can you link to a PDF or show illustrations helping us to get chat history over. I don't want to chance this happening in May - want to migrate now.

I joined as "Teams Insider" by app Microsoft Teams in Windows. And I successful. Thanks you very much. In a week, I can not sync my chat history from sky to teams.

Again, the main problem is the way Microsoft has been handling this. Regular users are getting different information (or none at all). Is Microsoft excepting regular users belong to the Teams Insider Program (keep in mind that many of them are not even Teams users yet)
It is not about the short notice, because there was no statement from Microsoft until the News outlets started posting about the end of Skype. As of today, the Skype clients have zero banners warning users that the end is near (are they also expecting that all regular users follow technology news too?)
It seems like Microsoft itself didn't even know that Skype is ending!

Coincidentally, the "End is coming" banner finally showed up last night on my iPhone's Skype app but not yet on my PC. Oddly, it now refers to May but no specific date. They may still be assuming that everyone is "in the know"
