Microsoft teams voice licencing question
Hi - hope you and family are safe/healthy.
Here's a quick summary to your questions on (voice) licensing requirements:
1. Users: Min requirements are Teams/SfB + Phone System + Call Plan (MS or Direct Routing)
- Commonly this would be E1, E3, E5 or one of the M365 Business skus containing a Teams/SfB license.
2. Auto Attendants / Call Queues: min requirements are a virtual phone system (free) (for assigned resource account). No Call plan is required if the AA/CQ doesn't need to be reached via PSTN (i.e., if it's a nested AA/CQ) -- but (the resource account) will need a call plan to assign a DID.
3. AA/CQ Voicemail ---- any Office 365 group can (now) be used for this. There's no customization of the vm greeting (yet). If you need a custom greeting - you can fall back to the generic user acct req's in #1.
