Microsoft Teams opens then closes. Just goes in that loop when attempting to open.

I was having this problem recently and for me the fix was unexpected. I previously blocked microsoft edge from updating itself and I guess a newer version of teams ended up having a dependency for a newer version of the edge web viewer. Teams realized it needed to update edge, but couldn't, so it would crash. I restored the default permissions to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\EdgeUpdate" and removed the firewall rule I added to blocked edge updates in case the permissions somehow restored themselves.
So make sure your microsoft edge is up-to-date if you are struggling with this one...
