Since you have talked to colleagues in your IT department I guess that you are using the payed version of Teams included in a Enterprise or Business license. Do you use your corporate email address to sign in? What happens after your sign in, do you get an error?

no I never used a Business license, I don't have one. I had 2 Microsoft Team Meetings with Scotia Bank from Canada, but they invited me.

Do you just want to join your meetings that been scheduled by others or do you want to start a new Teams organisation for personal use? Can you post what errors you get?
