Microsoft Teams meeting record location

Teams Recording are always stored in the Microsoft Stream Platform. You can always view the recording from the Meeting Channel Space.

Specifically
9/18/2025 - Have there been any updates in Teams for the location of Recordings, are they still based on the recording initiator? I organize meetings and the recordings normally get saved to OneDrive, but I have noticed that in the breakout rooms, sometimes those don't. There are other people initiating the recordings in the breakout rooms but the recordings don't always get saved to their OneDrive either. I'm trying to figure out what the variance is.
