Microsoft Teams Freezes PC
- Sep 01, 2020
Sounds like laptop specs. Have you tried calls with camera off? Using background picture/blur or together more consumes more processor power and that Graphics combined with only 4GB of memory isn't a very powerful combination. It will result using your disk for more memory which usually adds up on freezing the system.
You can also try Teams settings "Disable GPU hardware acceleration" to see if it helps.

- Vesa NopanenJul 10, 2021MVPI am sorry to hear that. Generally your computer should be fast enough to run Teams. Due to HDD make sure you have all Windows updates etc run in before using other apps. Heavy use of hard drive can slow a computer very easily.
However it should not freeze totally even when doing updates.
What about a web client? Any issues with that?
Earlier there was a reply about a HP computer and a video card. Have you checked that your video card drivers are up to date and everything is good there?
Unfortunately I don't have any new tricks to give you - this thread has already mentioned hardware acceleration and others.
If your computer is a new one perhaps HP support could help? Or your organization's IT?
The Teams client V2 is in the making by Microsoft but it will be a while before it emerges. It comes out first integrated with Windows 11 and supporting consumer/personal accounts. https://myteamsday.com/2021/06/28/teams-v2/
