Microsoft Teams Freezes PC
I have observed that the Microsoft Teams desktop app freezes my HP laptop. This is the 3rd experience on this laptop and the laptop is newly purchased, running on Windows 10 Home edition, has a RAM of...

Sounds like laptop specs. Have you tried calls with camera off? Using background picture/blur or together more consumes more processor power and that Graphics combined with only 4GB of memory isn't a very powerful combination. It will result using your disk for more memory which usually adds up on freezing the system.
You can also try Teams settings "Disable GPU hardware acceleration" to see if it helps.

I've got the same issue on a desktop with 16 gb of RAM...so it's not just a laptop issue. I have the camera OFF by default. I've just turned off hardware acceleration to see if that has any effect, but I'm very doubtful that it will.
My only solution is to bring up task manager and kill Teams with Fire - then at least I can use my other apps.
MS needs to FIX this...and I've noticed they haven't even chimed in.

I have the same problem with Microsoft Teams although my laptop has a hard disk type SSD and the size of rams 16 GB and the operating system on it is Windows 10 latest version, the camera is closed by default, the program always freezes immediately while launching. That's why I think the problem in the program itself and should be resolved.
thanks for your care.

Hi, I had same situation with one difference: on HP laptop (8 GB memory, 1TB hdd) add teams. Start meet, but after some time totally freeze whole laptop. But before I use tablet (2GB ram, 32GB eMMC) with slow reaction but without problems with teams freezing. Where is difference? At the end, I found difference in teams version: 32 bit versus 64 bit. There is 64 bit version on laptop and 32 bit version on tablet. I tried to found 32 bit version of teams (not on Microsoft page, but actual) and voila - it's running and stable! So solution for my case is 32 bit version of teams.

Batman66 alinc2003 , I have the same problem. Those guys said: " This laptop works best on Teams and is best for work with powerful performance!" Now look what I am on. Freezing and glitching. I recommend you get Chromebook because they have the Sweet performance and are work best with teams. Seriously.
