BrinthaT -- For some unknown reason, under certain circumstances on some computers, the teams app sets your internal microphone input volume so low that you have to have your mouth right next to the microphone for anyone to hear. There seems to be only two solutions to this problem at present.
1. Try uninstalling the Teams app from your computer and use teams from your web browser.
2. Or use a USB headset with a built in microphone.
So far I've not found a way to use the internal microphone on my computer with the Teams App. This is a Microsoft issue since the internal microphone works perfectly with Zoom and other VoIPs. On a couple of occasions, though, after using a MS program I've found the microphone driver disabled. I've needed to restart my computer in 'Safe Mode' to get the driver to reinstall properly.
- JowagJul 07, 2020Copper ContributorI have the same issue. I restored my laptop, did not lose any data and it sorted it out permanently.

This is ridiculous. User in my org, same problem. Surface Book Pro 3, Win 10, using built in mic, Intune managed. I do *not* want to restore her device. Or make her use Teams for web. She can make Skype for Business calls fine.

Microsoft is ignoring this case and the support is not helpful. Suggest always nonsense flows such as uninstall, install, restarting device.
The first 5-6 emails with MS support is always like "I am a tech guy, not an idiot and I wouldn't write u when I wouldn't test and try everything"
No, they suggest replacing a NEW device, and they don't care if it's working for exactly the same device, or if this works for teams web, and a few minutes/hours after reinstall the whole Windows 10 OS.
Sorry, but shame.
