MC1317197 Microsoft Teams: simpler controls and a smarter share panel

Has anybody seen the end user visual guide supposedly to be published on July 9th, 2026, to the Microsoft Adoption site?

Either they have not published the visual guide yet or I cannot find the guide on the site. We need to notify users this is coming, and it would be great to have the visual guide to use for the communications / messaging.

Thank you

  • You are not overlooking it. The Microsoft Adoption site now shows a card for “Try the redesigned meeting controls in Microsoft Teams,” but its Learn more link currently redirects to the general Teams adoption page. That page does not expose the promised feature-specific visual guide or a downloadable communication asset.

This suggests that the landing-page entry has been published, but the actual guide is either delayed or incorrectly linked. The July 9 date in MC1317197 appears to have been a target date rather than confirmation that the file was available.

Microsoft would need to provide the corrected location or a revised publication date. The general Teams user-enablement flipbook on the site is available, but it is not the specific visual guide described in MC1317197.

The new meeting controls link takes you back to the Teams homepage for me too. Really frustrating as I would like to access content to use for company comms.

  • The visual-guide address referenced in MC1317197 now appears in Microsoft Adoption navigation as “New meeting controls experience in Microsoft Teams,” so the resource is published even though it is difficult to find through site search. Use the address supplied in Message Center rather than searching by the MC number. Before sending communications, reopen MC1317197 in your tenant and check its revision, rollout dates, affected clients, and tenant-specific notes, because Message Center is the authoritative source for your environment. Use the Adoption resource’s approved screenshots and wording for the announcement, and avoid recreating the interface from memory. If the page or downloadable assets do not load, prepare an interim notice from the current Message Center text and add the visuals later. State that rollout is staged and users may receive the updated experience at different times. This provides notice without promising a date or appearance your tenant has not received
