Managing Teams Private Channels
Everyone got very excited when Microsoft introduced private channels for Teams. Which is nice. The hard work of understanding the technology and managing its introduction now begins, so in this article we look at how to control the creation of private channels and what to do once private channels are out there in use. Some planning is always good, and mastering private channels will take preparation. Let's begin!

TonyRedmond Great post! There is definitely a lot more to these private channels than people think!
Do you know if the private channel SP site gets deleted when a Team owner deletes a site or when it's automatically deleted by expiration policy? We have expiration policy enabled (180 days) for O365 groups which deletes the group's team, SP site, etc automatically when it expires. I wonder if the SP sites associated with the team's private channels also get deleted (I hope so!)??
Thanks in advance for your input!

CG-1717 The site is deleted a) if you remove the private channel or b) you remove the complete team. If the team is removed by the expiration policy, then all channels and sites are deleted.
TL;DR version they are creating a bunch of issues in order to offer a "compete" feature. Learn to say "no" is what I would advice )
