Lobby Limit When Attendees Gets To Over 300

We run a monthly town hall at my work over Teams meeting, we have a lobby set up however the meeting gets to over 300 attendees. When it gets to this does anyone know if the lobby stops working or if there is a way to have more attendees in the lobby? As we start to let people in the lobby still doesn't let more people in that are waiting. Is the lobby limit still at 300?

  • Hi LukePoulton,

the lobby in Microsoft Teams can accommodate a maximum number of joiners, which is up to one-third of the remaining space in the meeting.

The capacity for online meetings and video calls varies based on Microsoft 365 plans:
    - For Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Microsoft 365 Business Standard, Microsoft 365 Business Premium, and Microsoft 365 A1 plans, the limit is 300 people.
    - With Microsoft 365 E3/E5, Microsoft 365 A3/A5, and Microsoft 365 Government G3/G5 plans, this limit increases to 1,000 people. However, Microsoft Teams itself allows up to 10,000 attendees to join a meeting.

If your meeting has reached its maximum capacity, additional joiners may not be able to enter the lobby. To address this, you might need to consider upgrading your plan or reducing the number of participants.

Most company meetings that I've seen, just allow everyone to join the meeting and a corporate video or music is playing
