Lists Teams/Sharepoint

I created a list (list 1) in a private channel on one of my Teams sites.  This list is visible and available for editing on the Sharepoint site of that Teams channel.

I then created a list (list 2) in the same private channel on my Teams site from the existing list (list 1).

I then created another list (list 3) in the same private channel on my Teams site from the existing list (list 1).  Screenshot 'lists in Teams'

I went to the Sharepoint site of the Teams channel and I only see 'list 1'.  I had fully expected to see and be able to edit 'list 2' and 'list 3'.  Why am I not able to see those lists?  Screenshot 'list in sp'

I also went to the Sharepoint site to create a New list from an existing.  I can see 'list 1', however, the 'create' button is greyed out.  Screenshot 'create new list'
