Issues for guests when trying to reply to channel posts
- Sep 27, 2023
Hi Magnus_Goksoyr,
Yes, there have been a few reports of guests in Microsoft Teams having problems replying to channel posts and also a Service health advisory by Microsoft.Microsoft is aware of the issue and is working on a fix. The issue is affecting guest users who are trying to post messages in Microsoft Teams channels via all connection methods.
Microsoft is also preparing the fix for deployment to 50% of the affected environment. Once it reaches that percentage, they will validate that it has had the desired effect before they determine their next steps in proceeding with the final half of the deployment.
This means that the issue should be resolved soon.
Here are some workarounds you can try:
- Make sure that the guests have the latest versions of Safari and Chrome installed.
- Try clearing the cache and cookies for Safari and Chrome.
- Try restarting the computer.
